- Police were called to an accident when a woman drove her car into a store in Walnut Ridge. Lawrence County Dispatch tells Region 8 News the Family Dollar, 500 SW Front St., was driven into on Monday. Walnut Ridge Police Chief Chris Kirksey says an elderly woman accidentally hit the gas pedal instead of the brakes while she was parked. Kirksey says there were no injuries. The car was towed and the hole in the building is being patched up.
